Comments Re: 2.0 - Lesson #23

These are not one-hour lessons. They are valuable and horizon expanding and I definitely need some indepth study since I'm not a "teckie". If one is a beginner, the language is not familiar and usually no definition of terms was given = frustrating and inhibiting.

Overdrive - #22 lesson

It is a modern-day miracle to be able to download music and books from the Internet, and this is a wonderful service JPL provides. If I chose a book to download to my MP3 or computer, the first would be "Mere Christianity" by the indomintable C. S. Lewis.

Podcast - Lesson #21

In Podcast, lesson 21, I learned there are businesses that have podcasts from time to time to get input from their customers so they can improve, above all, customer service. I listened to Starbucks' presentation & their CEO will hold a podcast, 9/5/08, 3 pm. Starbucks has learned that people REALLY want personal service--not automation--and don't want to stand in a "cow line" to be eventually served by the lowest paid employee. He recommended www.dialahuman.com to find ways to get immediately to a real person in many firms.

I enjoyed learning that Starbucks is into personal service, well done.

wikis

Wikis can be used as a "bulletin board"; information about conferences from various paricipants; updating specific subject matter, book lists, links, etc.
